A Colorful Dorm
With every new semester comes settling in to a new living space, and while some see in this only the hassle of moving things back and forth, (which I do NOT deny) my first thought is DECORATING!
A new dorm, a new decor! I almost always spend the second half of my summer (you know… the part where I’m counting the days until we get to go back) thinking of new ways to organize and store things, and of cheap, easy craft projects to cuten up the blah-beige cinder block walls.
So with this in mind, I’m happy to announce my first series of Lilly and Bee, A Colorful Dorm! I want to create my own Lilly-fied oasis, and I have so many ideas!! It’s safe to say my bedding from freshman year has reached the end of its life, so it’s time to make some new stuff, my photo board is deep red and classy, and while it’s beautiful, it needs a Lilly upgrade, and don’t even get me started on my desk ideas… there are so many possibilities!
I wish I could make my living space look just like a Lilly Store, they’re like a girl’s playground! I love the hand-painted touches and girly details,

Bee’s Story
What is a 21 year-old girl named Bee to do after she’s just discovered Lilly?
Bianca found Lilly Pulitzer and escaped the drab, colorless life for the bright spirit and fun of a preppy one. With all of this brand new inspiration, why not start a juice stand? I mean- a Lilly Blog!
And that is just what I did.
But no– Really. School’s out, I’m home for the summer and I’ve found a new and colorful love. I’d never even HEARD the name Lilly Pulitzer, or known a thing about the preppy life style until now; I had no idea what I was missing! Way beyond just the fashion, the Lilly spirit is what turned me into a self-professing Lilly Lover. I’ve always been one to believe that happiness is a choice, and life is what we make it… So why DON’T we always make it colorful?
Lilly and Bee will be my collection of crafts, quotes and pictures, and little bits of life that make me smile along the way. Let the Lilly-Loving begin!
